About YN Global
What We Are
YN Global is a boutique innovation and delivery practice focused on helping complex initiatives move into the real world.
The work sits at the intersection of strategy, technical reality, and execution, supporting organisations where delivery matters as much as ambition
Founder-led by design
YN Global was founded and is led by Dr Yasmeen Najm.
The practice is deliberately founder-led, allowing clients to work directly with senior expertise, rather than delegated teams. Engagements are shaped by judgement, context, and hands-on involvement, not generic frameworks.
Experience shaped inside complex systems
Yasmeen’s experience has been shaped inside large, complex organisations where ambition is high and delivery depends on navigating systems, not just ideas.
Her background spans applied research, corporate innovation, and senior roles working across multi-sector environments, where technical complexity, governance, and organisational dynamics intersect.
She brings a strong technical foundation, including a PhD in Environmental Engineering, alongside first-hand experience working beyond individual technologies to shape how decisions are made, initiatives are prioritised, and work moves from intent into execution.
Grounded in Saudi Arabia, connected globally
A significant portion of Yasmeen’s work has been delivered in Saudi Arabia, operating inside high-stakes environments where scale, pace, and coordination matter.
This experience is complemented by ongoing collaboration across the UK and North America, bringing global best practice into regional contexts without losing sight of on-the-ground realities.
-
Supporting organisations to move from ambition into delivery by shaping priorities, decision pathways, and execution-ready structures within complex environments.
Work in this area focuses on where innovation efforts typically stall, including decision-making, ownership, and delivery set-up.
Representative work:
• Helping establish and operate a central innovation capability spanning multiple sectors and regions, supporting prioritisation and delivery readiness
• Contributing to the design and refinement of innovation processes alongside senior leadership and cross-functional teams
• Leading early-phase innovation intake to identify and introduce technologies where sector capability gaps existed -
Identifying technologies with genuine potential and supporting their progression from early validation toward scale readiness within large organisations.
The emphasis is on ensuring pilots are designed with real delivery conditions in mind.
Representative work:
• Leading initial technology intake and assessment efforts to identify solutions aligned with sector priorities
• Working alongside sector teams to bring selected technologies on site, supporting pilot set-up within real project, site, and organisational constraints
• Partnering with procurement, legal, and delivery teams to clarify decision gates, ownership, and next-step pathways following pilot-stage activity -
Experience across technically complex systems where innovation intersects with infrastructure, regulation, and long-term operational realities.
Work in this area draws on strong technical grounding alongside hands-on exposure to delivery constraints.
Representative work:
• Leading water innovation initiatives, including feasibility work on brine valorisation for high-value chemical processing
• Leading the development of a hydrogen innovation strategy across the full value chain
• Executing downstream hydrogen innovation focused on air and maritime mobility use cases, including early validation and pilot set-up considerations -
Operating at the intersection of organisations, partners, and external ecosystems to support innovation across sectors and regions.
This includes working through the practical realities of governance, procurement, and partnership engagement.
Representative work:
• Strengthening engagement between large organisations and local technology ecosystems, including SMEs and scale-ups
• Working closely with procurement teams to enable faster pathways for piloting and early-stage collaboration
• Acting as a connector across sectors and partners to support shared innovation efforts -
Supporting the translation of advanced research and data-driven approaches into practical, delivery-oriented innovation contexts.
Representative work:
• Supporting a research and industry collaboration focused on data anonymisation and sharing within the construction sector
• Shaping the delivery approach for a multi-stakeholder innovation project bridging academic research, industry needs, and real-world constraints
• Facilitating alignment between technical research teams and industry partners to ensure applicability beyond the research phase -
Supporting innovation visibility, engagement, and alignment across complex organisations.
Representative work:
• Leading innovation-related events, communications, and engagement activities linked to technology scouting and piloting efforts
• Translating technical innovation activity into clear narratives for senior and non-technical stakeholders
Selected focus areas
YN Global works with a small number of organisations at a time to ensure focus, depth, and quality of delivery.
